In an idyllic location opposite the Village Green, we offer a peaceful venue free from games machines, pool and juke boxes, where on summer days you can idle the time away in a beautiful setting outside the front of the pub or, in winter, warm yourself next to a roaring open log fire in the bar. Families with children and dog owners are always welcomed and there’s a children’s play area in the rear garden,
We present an varied menu with many British favourites. The Plough has acquired a large number of returning clientele in the last 13 years and there is constant demand for their favourite dishes, including delicious Slow Roasted Shoulder of Lamb, Beef Bourguignon, Spicy Chicken Enchiladas, Italian Style Meatballs, fresh fish and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Traditional Sunday Roast with best beef sirloin is available, or you can choose any other dishes from our extensive menu all expertly prepared by our Landlord/Chef.

You may dine in the informal bar area, seating 35, or in our separate restaurant area which regularly accommodates up to 50 when our local Cricket Club, Bellringers, Camera Club and Bentley Drivers’ Club Annual Dinners/Lunches are catered for.
For those wanting to get out and about in the area, we have the Shalbourne Gliding Club, Country Events offering 4x4 and country pursuits, the Wilton Windmill and Beam Engine and the Wild Flower Farm. An excellent B& B venue is located at Westcourt Farm, 150 metres from the Plough.
